Welcome to Lily Bloom Bakery, a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Brooklyn at 2220 86th St. This renowned bakery is not just a place to satisfy your sweet cravings but an experience that indulges all your senses. Specializing in a blend of Asian and Portuguese pastries, Lily Bloom Bakery captures the essence of both culinary worlds, making it a must-visit for any food lover.

The bakery’s standout item is undoubtedly its Portuguese egg tart. Customers rave about these tarts, often boldly declaring them the best in Brooklyn. One devoted fan, Ricky Long, claims to have purchased nearly 500 of these delectable delights, while Ming describes them as “humongous” and perfectly balanced with a gooey custard that has become an obsession for many. Each bite reveals a flaky crust that delicately holds a rich and creamy custard, smooth and irresistible, with just the right hint of caramelization on top. It’s no coincidence that this tart has earned a five-star reputation among loyal patrons.

Beyond the beloved egg tarts, Lily Bloom offers an exciting menu that includes intriguing flavors like Green Tea with Lychee, Chocolate, and Passion Fruit drinks, showcasing the bakery’s unique Asian twist. For those who desire a refreshing beverage alongside their pastries, the H12hk Style Milk Tea and Flower Ginseng Honey both come highly recommended at an affordable price of US$2.25.

The atmosphere at Lily Bloom Bakery is welcoming and vibrant, with a blend of busy bakery life and comfortable seating, though it can get quite crowded. Despite the bustling crowd, the efficient staff ensures that you won’t have to wait long to dive into your treats. The excitement of the bakery is palpable, as the sweet aroma of baked goods fills the air, enticing customers who walk through the door day after day.

However, be aware that the Portuguese egg tarts are in high demand and often sell out quickly, particularly in the mornings. If you want to ensure you get some of these coveted tarts, it’s best to arrive early or keep an eye on their availability throughout the day. For those planning a visit, Angie Mok recommends the sponge cake, which complements the not-so-sweet Asian pastries, perfect for those who lean towards less sugary treats.

In conclusion, Lily Bloom Bakery is a delightful destination for anyone craving authentic pastries that balance Asian and Portuguese traditions. Whether you are a lifelong Brooklynite or a curious traveler, make sure to indulge in their famous egg tarts and other delightful offerings. Your taste buds will thank you!

Their Portuguese egg tarts deserves 5 stars automatic. Done deal. Update: I have probably purchased 500 tarts to date.

This is how I like my egg tarts: fat, gooey, humongous, soft, full of custard, more custard-to-crust ratio. The best egg tarts are in Brooklyn! You can get these perfect Portuguese egg tarts from any of the Lily Bloom Bakery or Xin Fa Bakery locations (sister stores). The crust is flaky and thick, while the custard is creamy and rich. The inside is silky smooth and irresistible, while the top is slightly burnt for a caramelized flavor. They're melt-in-your-mouth when you bite into it. I really wish we had a location in Queens. Since the egg tarts are so popular, their turnover rate is really high. That's why they're always fresh and warm!

The Portuguese Egg tarts from here are my favorite! They’re warm, creamy and delicious. The cheese mango tea was also good.

They have Portuguese egg tarts at this location. Alot of times it sells out quickly. They are a little different then your regular bakeries. The sell alot of different types of buns and drinks. They also have cakes. They have seating here but its usually all taken up. The line moves fairly quickly.
